Safeguarding

Your child's safety comes first

Here's how we keep children safe at every coaching session and Academy day, in plain English.

Our commitments

What we do to keep children safe

  1. 1

    Checked and trained adults

Every adult working with children holds an enhanced DBS check and current safeguarding training.

  2. 2

    A named safeguarding lead

We have a named Designated Safeguarding Lead, the person to talk to about any concern.

  3. 3

    First aid on site

A paediatric first aider is on site all day at the Academy. We hold medical, allergy and emergency-contact details for every child.

  4. 4

    Safe arrivals and collections

Children are signed in and out, and collected only by adults you have named.

  5. 5

    Proper supervision

Small groups with a high coach-to-player ratio, and never fewer than two adults on site at the Academy. Guest speakers are always supervised.

  6. 6

    Photos only with consent

We only share photos or videos of children with written consent from a parent or guardian, and never use a child's full name.

  7. 7

    Only what we need

Our forms ask for a child's first name and age only: no surnames, dates of birth or school names.

  8. 8

    Wellbeing every week

Academy days start with a wellbeing check-in, and we keep parents updated on progress.

Full terms are provided on registration.
