About us
Believe and achieve, on the pitch and in life
We are a team of expert coaches helping young aspiring players believe and achieve, on the pitch and in life.
Who coaches your child
Our coaches and mentors
We're football specialists who work with young talent so every player develops at their own pace. Every one of our coaches has been on this journey: the hard work, the sacrifices, the setbacks and the fun along the way. Your child learns from people who've been there.

Coaching philosophy
How we coach
Believe & Achieve
Confidence comes first. Children who believe they can improve, do.
Every child counts
Small groups, so every child gets real attention, pitched at where they are now.
Effort and enjoyment
Hard work matters, and so does having fun. The best sessions have both.
On the pitch and in life
Kindness, respect, honesty and sportsmanship are coached and celebrated.
Our founder
Harry Douglas
HDperformance was founded by Harry Douglas, and he knows what it takes because he's lived it.Harry had youth spells at Leeds United, Sheffield Wednesday and Doncaster Rovers, then scholarships at York City and Altrincham FC. He's been through the highs of the game and the setbacks too: the early starts and long training days, the focus that every session demands, getting diet, rest and recovery right, and the mental strength to keep going when things don't go your way. He still plays semi-professional football at Step 5. Today, Harry works alongside our coaches and mentors to pass on everything that journey taught them, on and off the pitch, so young players can believe and achieve.
